Cook sugar mixture until "Hard Crack" stage on candy thermometer, on low carefull not to burn. (make sure that the temperature reaches exactly "hard crack"). Pour hot liquid into metal pan with lipped edges.Immediately break chocolate bar into pieces and melt over top, spreading with knife for eveness. Sprinkle almonds on top of melted chocolate. Let candy set up. Once cool, break into pieces and share or enjoy!
